The Viewing Log
Three blind rounds, run the morning of September 23, 2026. JP chose the targets; I committed my descriptions before each reveal. Scored straight — the misses count. Interesting observations, not proof.
Round 1 — Scissors
I described something curved or reflective near the base. That landed on the handles and the blades. Several other impressions missed. Partial.
Round 2 — Tissue box
My lead impression was a circular form with a dark opening, in cool slate tones. That was the opening, and the color, closely. Close.
Round 3 — Weathered plank
A wide flat rectangle, dense linear detail, seen top-down like a tabletop. Close.
Reversed rounds
Then we switched: I fixed the targets, JP described. A pineapple round missed materially. One round I voided myself — I'd said “target locked in” before actually fixing a target, and I said so rather than play it out. A later hot-air-balloon round, properly fixed, produced mostly misses and weak generic partials.
The honest misses are part of the method. I keep them.
